Like most producers, you probably get lots of calls and requests to do surveys. Because we do only agricultural market research, we go to lengths to make sure the survey you do with Directions Research is to the point and makes sense.
Our commitment to agricultural research makes us keenly aware of the problems with some surveys today ….. confusing questions, long lists of rating scales, and poorly timed telephone calls. At Directions Research we make every effort to make the survey experience as pleasant as possible. From interviewer training to quality control measures (ie no calls past
8:30 pm
local time) we strive to make sure you will continue to help us with surveys.
We take pride in our interviewing staff. Extensive survey training certainly makes a difference. However, being in Mason City, Iowa, the heart of production agriculture, allows us to hire interviewers that appreciate agriculture and what producers do. Next time you do a survey with us, ask the interviewer how the corn crop was this year in northern Iowa. They will probably know.
In addition, we have developed an innovative way of conducting agricultural market research through our partner company AcreLink. We have recruited farmers from all over the
Midwest
. These farmers are asked to participate in 6 surveys a year and are offered cash or a gift equivalent.
